HERE YOU CAN FIND ANSWERS TO THE MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS REGARDING THE COMPETITION:

 

Can I apply individually or must I be part of a group?

All participants can apply individually, nevertheless there must always be a teacher in charge.

 

Who can participate in the bgreen ecological film festival?

There are two categories:
– BGREEN JUNIOR for students aged 13 and 14 years old (in Portugal, students attending the 8th and 9th grade or equivalent).

– BGREEN, for students aged between 15 and 21 years old (secondary / professional studies).

The competition is adressed to students from all over the World.

Should my spot have a making of?

Yes, it should. In your application, you should submit your VIDEO SPOT along with the making-of (maximum of 180 seconds).

What should be the spot’s length?

Each VIDEO SPOT must have a minimum of 30 seconds and a maximum of 45 seconds (excluding eventual titles).

I don’t have access to a video camera. Can I participate with a spot shot with my mobile phone?

Yes, you can. A mobile phone can be used to capture image as long as the resolution is at least HD.

How can I submit my video spots?

All video spots must be sent no later than April 1st 2022 through the Video Submission Ecological Engine.

What is the deadline for the submission of the video spots?

The submission deadline is April 1st 2022.

We are a team of 4 students but we do not have a teacher in charge. Can we still participate?

In order for the participation to be accepted each team must have a teacher responsible for the application.

What criteria are assessed by the jury?

Winners will be selected by a jury – a group of specialists in the areas of environment, education and arts – that will assess creativity, originality, message, innovation and social and environmental impact.

What type of resolution or compression should my spot have?
  • All spots must be recorded and edited in digital formats;
  • Recommended resolutions: PAL 16:9 or HD;
  • The recommended formats are: MPEG-2, WMV, MP4, MOV, FLV;
  • Maximum file size: 2 GBytes.
When will the results of the pre-selection be disclosed?

All finalist videos will be made public on April 12th 2022, on the festival’s official website.
