Bgreen // ecological film festival’s 12th edition Grand Gala will take place on July 2nd, at 9 pm at FÁBRICA SANTO THYRSO, in Santo Tirso.
The ceremony is the culmination of a year’s hard work that involved youngsters from the most varied corners of the world. China, Nicaragua, Norway and Tanzania are just some of the participating countries in this 12th edition.
In total, 250 teams from 37 schools competed in 5 categories: Bgreen Grand Prize, Bgreen Junior, Honorable Mention, Best Making of and People’s Choice. There is also the Father Alphonse Luisier dedicated to OFICINA students, which has eight finalist teams.
As the gala progresses, the winners, who were previously selected by a panel of judges, will be unveiled. This panel is made up of representatives from the municipalities of Santo Tirso and Vila Nova de Famalicão, the Portuguese Environment Agency, ESMAD, Quercus, Gonçalo da Silveira Foundation, ABAE and OFICINA – Professional School.
The jury is responsible for giving out the following awards: Father Cristiano Oliveira sj – BGREEN Grand Prize – an EcoAdventure Trip to the Azores; and also Bgreen Junior and Honorable Mention awards. The winners of the Making Of and Alphonse Luisier awards will also be announced.
This year, the artistic performances at the gala will be in charge of the ARTAVE Orchestra and CRASSH.
