The 3rd Edition of the Bgreen // ecological film festival’s grand gala was held last June 7th at the Parque da Devesa in Vila Nova de Famalicão. The event, promoted by OFICINA – INA’s Professional School, was the culmination of a project that has been ongoing since 2011.
This project aims to appeal to a more environmental awareness and sustainability, instilling respect for the surrounding nature. The 3rd edition was differentiated by the internationalization of the initiative, which allowed for the participation of many young Europeans.
Throughout the gala, 22 pre-selected videos from Spain, Norway and Portugal were shown, such videos competed in the following categories: bgreen // ecological film festival award, Honorable Mention award, Best Message award, Best Making-Of award, People’s Choice award and Alphonse Luisier Award. Students and teachers from several districts of Portugal, Spain and Norway were present at the ceremony which was held in the amphitheater of the Parque da Devesa, as well as representatives of the official partners of the project, namely BP, BES, Quercus, the regional government of the Azores, the municipalities of Santo Tirso and Vila Nova de Famalicão and the Ministry of Education. The gala was also attended by the musician André Tentugal from Wetrust and the band Crassh, whose performances thrilled the audience. For those who could not attend the ceremony, it was possible to watch the gala live via the official website.
The bgreen // ecological film festival award was won by a spot named “Lady Lancelot”, produced by a group of students from the Norwegian school Vardafjell. The winners will be able to enjoy an eco-adventure trip to the island of S. Miguel in the Azores, also known as the green island, and live a unique experience in the contact with nature.
