Bgreen // ecological film festival is a grand international project which has already had the participation of 31 countries throughout its twelve editions.
Bgreen festival consists in the production of video spots, created by students aged 13 to 21 on ecological related issues.
“What goes around comes around” is this edition’s slogan.
It is Bgreen’s intention to create awareness regarding the importance of Man’s action in nature and its positive or negative impact. “What goes around comes around” aims at, on the one hand, highlight Man’s negative behavior in the management of natural resources and the relationship with the Planet, but, on the other hand, also bring hope associated with the adoption of positive and innovative behaviors that may prove to be solutions for the ecological challenges we face nowadays.
In connection to this slogan we suggest the following subthemes that, among many others, are some ideas for this year’s spots: Management of natural resources: water, soils, fossil fuels, rainforests, among others. forced migration due to natural phenomena, climate crisis, energy transition, sustainable cities/communities, environmental education and integral ecology.
As in previous editions, this year we have two categories:
- BGREEN JUNIOR – for students aged 13 and 14 years old (in Portugal, students attending the 8th and 9th grade or equivalent);
- BGREEN – for youngsters aged between 15 and 21 years old (Secondary or vocational studies).
If you want to participate, get together a group of 4 students and along with a teacher, create a video spot (with a maximum length of 45 seconds) on an environmental issue that may or not be connected to the theme of the present edition.
All students that want to participate should send their video spots on environmental issues until April, 19th 2024. The grand prize is an Eco-Adventure trip to the Azores!
All participants are invited to attend the festival’s Grand Gala that will take place on June 7th, 2024 in Vila Nova de Famalicão.
We are looking forward to your participation!
